05/02/2019   Apprenticeships Levy Transfer Event 22nd Feb Nottm

Derby City Council, Nottingham City Council and Leicester City Council would like to invite you to  an ‘Apprenticeship Levy Transfers in the Public Sector’ Event on 22nd February 2019, from 10.00am to 4.00pm at Nottingham City Council, Loxley House, Nottingham NG2 2BG.

The event has been put together to  hear how councils’ who have started to transfer their levy have gone about it and share best practice in spending our levy with the supply chain/SME's to create opportunities within the most disadvantaged communities in our areas.

In addition we will discuss how we could collectively lobby the ESFA to make the transfer process easier and future flexibilities which would quicker and easier spend. A senior officer from the ESFA will be attending to answer questions and provide clarity. The event is aimed at HR/OD and Economic Development Teams within the local authorities working on spending the levy.

There will be an opportunity to share with colleagues your experience of the levy to date and  round table discussions on making the transfer process easier and future flexibilities we would like to see with the levy. We would welcome your input into the day and if you have any areas for discussion under agenda item 9 please forward them on.

We have confirmed attendance from the ESFA and the Local Government Association
